Cool the Climate and Cut Cost - Just Add Water.

How does this Work?


    A Water Fuel System is installed under your hood, generating a gas that mixes with your primary fuel and makes your engine more efficient. This gas is a mix of hydrogen and oxygen that many call HHO. To make the gas, a small amount of electricity (1-10 amps) is channeled through distilled water and a catalyst (baking soda) in an electrolyzer cell. The gas that is created is used 'on demand' by being drawn into the engine's air intake by a vacuum line.


Is this for Real?


    Absolutely. Direct evidence from thousands of drivers proves this technology every day. This technology will not allow you to run your car entirely on water. For almost all vehicles however it will will increase the mileage significantly.


What about Thermodynamics & the Law of Conservation?


   The question is usually, “how does the system create more energy than it uses?” The answer is that all scientific laws stay in tact and something a bit different is actually going on that boosts mileage. In actuality the vast majority of fuel that reaches the typical engine is wasted as it is not properly combusted. HHO works by mixing with and making more of that gasoline or diesel fuel ignite. The result is a more complete and cleaner burn, translating into a 20-60% increase in mileage. In effect you are getting more power out of the fuel you already paid for, instead of it going out the tailpipe as emissions.


Will this Work for All Vehicle Types?


This works on most gas and diesel engines, in cars, trucks, semis, boats, tractors, motorcycles, ATV’s, generators, and just about any internal combustion engine. Multiple Cells are necessary for optimum performance on larger vehicles, more on this below. Some vehicles may be designed better from the start and see only a very small increase in efficiency, although this is usually the exception. If you are fueling with Biodiesel, Ethanol, or Vegetable Oil - this System still works for you.


Why isn't this mainstream?


    Great question - because the basic technology of electrolysis has been known for over a century, and many patents are on file for devices that accomplish this or a similar effect. Perhaps the lack of widespread awareness has something to do with board members that serve both oil & car companies at the same time, so protect their interests by keeping cars inefficient and new energy ideas out of the public’s view. Luckily, exposure to the information age, plus high fuel prices and serious environmental concerns, has brought about innovation that has simplified the technology. The time has come for the adoption of this!


Why the range of 20-60%?


    There are a few factors that effect the range of results you will acheive. The age and design of the vehicle, the condition of the engine, the climate and altitude of operation, the number of cells connected, and the amount of water and electrolyte in the system are all variables that will alter the efficiency. An older or dirtier engine will typically have a greater increase in mileage and efficiency because years of unburned fuel residue will be cleaned out, allowing substantially smoother operation. The average increase between vehicles is 20-60%. Adding multiple cells will increase your results. Reports of as much as 80% increase in mileage have been achieved in some cases. To be certain of your MPG increase, measure the change using one of the methods described below, or pick up a ScanGauge II above.


How many Cells are Best for My Vehicle?


    Generally the more cells you add, the better your increase in fuel efficiency. However, the difference between adding extra cells for your particular vehicle may not be worth the added cost. It depends largely on how bad you want an extra 5-20% fuel efficiency increase on top of the initial results you experience from the number of cells recommended for your vehicle type. The following guide is a helpful:


1 Cell: Small/Regular Cars, Light Trucks, ATV’s, (up to 2 Liter engines)

2 Cells: Cars with V8’s, SUVs, Pickups, Vans, (up to 4 Liter engines)

3 Cell Cube: Semis, RV’s, Buses, Heavy Vans & Trucks, (greater than 4 Liter engines)


Is this Safe?


Water Fuel Systems produce HHO gas 'On Demand', meaning no gas is being pressurized or stored for use later. Stored hydrogen gas can be very dangerous - whereas in this system the gas is produced only when needed and is immediately sent to the engine to be combusted. The Installation Guide teaches you how to safely install and operate this system. There are safety measures built into the system, such as a valve to release pressure if there is an excess buildup, a fuse shuts off the system if it is drawing too much power, and five feet of vacuum hose to stop a flame in the unlikely occurrence of a pre-ignition or ‘flashback’ of the fuel. Only use Distilled Water, and do not mix more baking soda than is recommended. This system can certainly be dangerous if used incorrectly. Follow the rules carefully, and use common sense safety when working with automobiles, such as wearing gloves and goggles, only working on the engine when it is not hot, and refraining from smoking near the HHO generator. Use professional tools, be certain of your engine parts, and ask a certified mechanic for help if there is anything that you are unsure of. Hydrogen disperses extremely quickly. Being the lightest element (fifteen times lighter than air), hydrogen rises and spreads out quickly in the atmosphere. So if a leak occurs, the hydrogen gas quickly becomes so sparse that it cannot burn. Even when ignited, hydrogen burns upward, and is quickly consumed. By contrast, fuels such as gasoline and diesel vapors, as well as natural gas, are heavier than air, so instead of dispersing they coat parts of the vehicle and remain a flammable threat for much longer. Plus hydrogen is completely non-toxic. It is a naturally-occurring element in the atmosphere. By comparison, all petroleum fuels are asphyxiates, and are poisonous to humans.


Installation?


    Someone with a basic understanding of automechanics can install this system. It may be best however to have a professional mechanic install the device. The cell is ideally installed under the hood, where it is most safe and easiest to connect, but can also be mounted effectively in the trunk. If your vehicle requires a MAP Sensor Enhancer, this is a relatively simple electrical procedure, however will require a greater understanding of automechanics than is required by just installing the cell. In both instances a guide to your specific vehicle will be helpful for the installation, such as Chilton’s, available at most auto parts stores.


How much Water is Used?


    Very little. Add distilled water once every three to four weeks to ensure maximum gas production. If you drive the average of 2,000 miles per month, only 2 gallons of distilled water, costing about $2 total at grocery stores, is consumed in about a year (in a single cell system). If you want to produce your own distilled water, units are out there for $100, or you can find simple plans online to build a water distiller.


How Can I Measure the Exact Savings?


Digitally: 1) The most popular and precise option, simply mount a device called a ScanGauge II on your dash. This connects to the vehicle's Onboard Diagnostic System and reports your mileage clearly! We offer these for sale above. The only limitation is that the device will not work on vehicles older than 1995, so you will have to choose another option below.


2) There is also a device that connects to your Palm Pilot or Laptop and provides sophisticated diagnostic information. It is called Auterra Dyno-Scan, and like the ScanGauge has the advantage of keeping records of your performance, including horsepower, torque, gear ratios, top speeds, etc, and will map the information for you over time.


Manually: Online there are various free calculators that will do the math for you once you plug in the numbers.


   1. Go to the gas station and fill up the fuel tank.

   2. Record the mileage, before even pulling away from the pump. We will call this Mileage A.

   3. Drive normally until the tank is less than half full.

   4. Fill up the tank again (preferably at the same station using the same pump as pumps may be calibrated differently). This time, pay attention to how many gallons it takes to fill up the tank and record this number.

   5. Record the mileage again, just like before. We will call this Mileage B.

   6. Subtract Mileage A from Mileage B. This will give you the number of miles you drove since your last fill-up.

   7. Divide your answer by the number of gallons it took to fill up your tank. This will give you your vehicle's MPG.

   8. Repeat this test again, this time with the Water Fuel System installed and operating.

   9. To determine the percentage increase, divide this number by the your vehicle's original MPG, subtract 1 and multiply by 100.


In Equation form:


Fuel Economy (MPG) = New odometer reading - Old odometer reading

                                            Gallons of fuel to refill tank


MPG gain (in %) = New MPG x 100   -1

                         Original MPG


Maintenance?


    Every one or two months remove the Electrolyzer Cell from it's holder and clean it inside with a toothbrush or wire brush and tap water. Make sure that the engine is off and the Cell is cool before servicing. For extra safety, also remove the fuse to the battery connection before servicing. You must also add a small amount of baking soda when you add more distilled water. This acts as an electrolyte, helping the reaction to occur optimally. You only need 4 teaspoons of this per 1 gallon of distilled water. Premix it and keep a jug in your trunk or garage.


Damage to my Engine?


     No way! It will improve the health of your engine by cleaning it every day. Unburned fuel deposits that build up in your engine will be removed, reducing wear and tear and increasing efficient combustion and performance. To power the device the battery and alternator are not overworked by any stretch of the imagination. The Water Fuel System requires a very small amount of energy to operate: 1-10 amps, which is less than your car stereo! A fuse protects against drawing too much power.


Tax & Legal Considerations?


     Your state, country, or region may require some fuel tax for alternative fuels, or have some regulations advising on this type of fuel use. Generally after-market fuel injection systems and other efficiency boosting devices are sold and installed all the time, without any tax or legal repercussions. My Vehicle's Warranty?


This system will actually be improving the performance and health of your engine. Warranty work from your dealership can only be denied to the vehicle if a mechanical problem can be directly proven to have resulted from your modification. The Water Fuel System can be removed in a before the vehicle is serviced if you prefer. Ultimately warranty coverage for your vehicle may depend on the preferences of your warranty provider, so consult them for certainty. To be clear, Organic Mechanic offers no type of warranty for your vehicle. The Conversion Kit parts do have a warranty for 3 months.


Operate in Any Climate?


    The System must be installed away from intense engine heat - more about this in the Installation Guide. In extremely cold weather, if the water inside freezes, simply allow your engine to run a few minutes before taking off - the electricity that powers the device will thaw the water effectively and safely. Another option is to pour a bit of liquid into the cell that will lower the freezing temperature. Do your research and attempt this at your own responsibility.


Effect on Environment?


    Emissions are largely the result of unburned fuel. Since more of your fuel is completely combusted when using this technology, emissions are reduced, to the same degree that your mileage is increased: 20-60%. The result of splitting apart the water is water vapor and oxygen, two totally harmless substances. This significant reduction in emissions will help to reduce the harmful effects of poisonous pollution and climate change. As for water supply - it takes the US 300 million gallons of water each year to drill for and process oil, and only 100 million gallons to power all US vehicles on Hydrogen.


Performance Increase & Changes in Operation?


    With this System more of your primary fuel will be completely burned, smoothing out and improving overall engine operation. You will almost immediately notice a significant reduction in engine noise, as a more complete combustion helps the engine to cycle correctly. Your valves and pistons, etc, will be free to operate smoothly, thereby reducing wear and tear. For a period of about one month the engine will continue to remove build up of carbon deposits resulting from unburned fuel, further increasing your performance & mileage and reducing your emissions. The acceleration and horsepower will increase as the engine will be operating more efficiently. Be aware of this as you may not have to push the pedal as hard as usual to accelerate!


Do I need a MAP Sensor Enhancer?


    The purpose of this device is to stop the vehicle's oxygen sensor from misinterpreting your increase in fuel efficiency, which may cause it waste fuel unnecessarily. The Dual-Edge MAP Sensor Enhancer is hand wired, has been bench tested and comes with instructions and graphics. It gives you full control of the air/fuel mixture on any fuel injected engine by attenuating the analog signal of the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor. This allows you to increase your fuel economy while tailoring the settings to work with your driving habits and horsepower needs.


    Most newer vehicles only need one adjustable parameter, however, the Dual-Edge MAP Sensor Enhancer is designed with two identical adjustment circuits giving you the ability to fine tune for low speeds under 40 MPH ('City') and for higher speeds ('Highway'). Plus, the switch is 'center-off' so can be returned to default settings easily.
